THE GARNER FILES - A MEMOIR

Seit dem 01.11.2011 ist die Autobiographie von James Garner im Handel. Zusammen mit dem Autoren Jon Winokur hat James Garner liebevoll, interessant, witzig und teils schockierend über seine gesamten wichtigen Stationen seines Lebens erzählt. Er berichtet viel über seine Hit-Serie "Detektiv Rockford" und "Maverick", geht einzeln auf jeden seiner Kino.- und TV-Filmen ein, erzählt seine Eindrücke von den Dreharbeiten.

 

Julie Andrews, eine sehr gute Freundin von James Garner, hat ein Vorwort zu diesem Buch geschrieben. Mit ihr zusammen drehte er die Filme "Nur für Offiziere" (1964), "Victor / Victoria" (1983) und den Weihnachtsfilm "Zauber einer Winternacht" (1999)

 

Ich kann diesen wunderbare Buch nur jedem James Garner Fan und Sympathisanten empfehlen. James Garner schreibt wirklich absolut toll, lebensnah und datailiert.

 

Einen ersten Eindruck - und ich hoffe sehr, dass ich damit einige zum Kauf des Buches animieren kann - könnt ihr hier auf der Fanpage im Bereich "Seine Filme" sehen, wo ich zu jedem Film was beigetragen habe und dabei auch Passagen aus seinem Buch verwendet habe, was James Garner von dem und dem Film selber hält.
